Nos últimos três anos, o Modo de Produção Biológico (MPB) registou uma evolução positiva nos Açores, em parte graças ao contributo relevante da organização das 2 edições do Fórum AçoresBio, nos anos 2021 e 2022.
De acordo com o Instituto da Alimentação e dos Mercados Agrícolas (IAMA):
- Em 2022, operavam nos Açores 224 produtores, ocupando uma área em MPB de 1.065 ha e uma área em conversão 3.483 ha;
- Entre 2020 e 2022, o nº de produtores, bem como a áreas em conversão MPB registaram um crescimento de, respetivamente, 41% (+ 65 produtores) e 1717% (+ 3.291 ha);
- Em 2022, as ilhas com maior nº de produtores em MPB eram a Terceira, São Miguel e Faial, mas as ilhas cujo nº de produtores mais cresceu entre 2020 e 2022 foram as ilhas das Flores, São Jorge e Pico.

In the last three years, the Organic Production has registered a positive evolution in the Azores, thanks in part to the relevant contribution of the organization of the two editions of the AçoresBio Forum in the years 2021 and 2022.
According to IAMA:
- In 2022, 224 producers operated in the Azores, occupying an area of 1,065 ha and an area under conversion of 3,483 ha;
- Between 2020 and 2022, the number of producers, as well as the areas under conversion, registered growth of, respectively, 41% (+ 65 producers) and 1717% (+ 3,291 ha);
- In 2022, the islands with the highest number of producers were Terceira, São Miguel and Faial, but the islands whose number of producers grew between 2020 and 2022 were the islands of Flores, São Jorge and Pico.
